
Butter Wafers with Chocolate Stripes or Jam Filling
Ingredients
Cookies
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 1 tsp salt
Topping
- 4 tbspn jam
- 2 oz dark chocolate
Instructions
Wafers

Line baking sheets with foil.

In a bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add egg and beat until creamy. Stir other ingredients in.

Drop by teaspoon onto baking sheet three inches apart.

Bale at 350F for 10 minutes or untill edges are golden brown and centers set
Topping

For chocolate: Melt chocolate in a small bowl set in simmering water. Pour into small zip top bag, cut corner from bag and drizzle onto cookies.

For jam: Using small lid or circle cutter, cut hole from cookie. Place a dollop of jam on the bottom of a second cookie and sandwich together.
