Ingredients
- 1.5 lb self-raising flour
- 1/2 tspn salt
- 3 oz butter
- 7 oz dates
- 1/3 pint milk
- 1/4 pint water
Instructions

Begin by stoning the dates, then cut them into small pieces.

Pour the flour and salt into a mixing bowl and rub in the butter

Add the dates

Mix the water and milk together

Add the milk/water mix to the mixture and make into a soft dough

Place the dough in a greased breased tin

Bake in the center of the oven for approximately 1 1/4 hour. Gas Mark 4
