
Overnight Butter Shortbread
Ingredients
Cookies
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanila
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups Flour
Topping
- melted chocolate
- coconut
- candies
- nuts
Instructions

Line a small baking pan with foil, leaving some foil overhanging each edge.

Melt butter, while it is still warm mix the butter with sugar, vanilla and salt.

Add flour and mix it to a smooth consistent.

Press dough into pan to desired thickness.

Let the dough rest unrefrigerated overnight. next day bake at 300F for 45 minutes

Remove from oven, let rest for 10 minutes, and gently remove block of shortbread from pan.

Carefully slice into rectangles, place it back onto the baking sheet and bake for another 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Topping
-
Dip or drizzle shortbread cookies with chocolate, and top with coconut, nuts or candies.
