  • 2 large red onion
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • vinegar- white


  1. Slice the half onion into thin slices. Place in a medium mixing bowl and add the sugar. Pour enough vinegar over the top to almost cover the onions.

  2. Let sit as long as you want. Ready to serve within 15 minutes for crisp onions, let sit longer for softer onions.

  3. Store any left overs in an air tight container in the fridge.
