Simple Fettuccine Alfredo
- 9 oz fettuccine
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 1 cups whole milk
- 2 tbsp thick cream
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 2 oz cheese ,
- 1/4 cup Parmesan
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
Cook the pasta in boiling water until soft. Drain the pasta, put back into the pan with a light drizzle of oil. Stir the oil and the pasta, this will stop it from sticking together.
In a second pan melt the butter, whisk in the flour and milk, continue whisking for a few minutes.
Add the cream and garlic until the mixture slightly thickens.
Add the cheeses until they have melted.
Add as much seasoning as you wish.
Stir in the pasta, then serve immediately.
