Simple Pasta Carbonara

  • 450 g linguine
  • 6 strips bacon
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup parsley


  1. Cook the pasta in boiling water until soft. Drain the pasta, put back into the pan with a light drizzle of oil. Stir the oil and the pasta, this will stop it from sticking together.

  2. While you are cooking the pasta heat up a frying pan with a tsp of oil. Slice up the bacon and fry it. When cooked, wrap in some kitchen towel to drain the oil.

  3. in a mixing bowl whisk the egg yolks. While whisking, add a tsp of the oil from the frying pan. Add the pasta and parmesan to the mixture. Toss together.

  4. Add the salt, pepper, bacon and parsley.
