Wartime Chocolate Pudding
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 cup carrots grated
- 1 oz sugar
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 1 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon cocoa heaped
- 1/4 pint milk
- 2 ozs margarine
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
Cream the margerine and sugar together, and stir in the grated carrot, syrup, fruit and the rest of the dry ingrediants.
Add milk to the mix to a fairly stiff consistancy.
Put the mixture into a greaded basin and steam for two hours.
