Boerenkool stampot

  • 500 g Kale Pre-diced
  • 500 g Potatoes Pre-peeled
  • 200 g Bacon
  • 20 g Butter
  • 20 g Salt
  • 4 Rook worst


  1. Wash the kale and potatoes then put each in there separate pans and fill them with water.

  2. Cook the kale for about 30 min and the potatoes for 20 min.

  3. Cut the bacon up into tiny bit and bake them with the butter in a small pan.

  4. If your using classic dutch rook worst,  heat them up in a pan filled with water for about 10 min then get them out of the pan and remove the plastic package(If you don't have access to the classic you could use smoked sausages of a different kind)

  5. Pour off the water of both kale and potatoes and let them steam empty on the fire for 2 min.

  6. Put both kale and potatoes in one big bowl and start mashing them to pulp and mix them. Then add in the entire contest of the bacon pan and mix some more.

  7. Serve the mashed with the rook worst and enjoy
