  • 280 grams Flour
  • 320 grams Dutch processed cocoa powder
  • 5 g baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 480 ml vegetable oil
  • 900 grams sugar
  • 8 large eggs
  • 20 ml vanilla extract


  1. Preheat your oven to 350F/180C

  2. Mix all the dry ingredients except for the sugar in a bowl and set it aside.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix in your vegetable oil and sugar until combined.

  4. Beat in the eggs and mix until the mixture is a pale yellow. Then add the vanilla and finish mixing.

  5. Mix in the dry ingredients until the batter is smooth.

  6. Using a greased 1/2 sheet tray [13x19] place your batter in and bake for about 20-35 minutes or until you pierce it with a knife and it comes out clean.
