Cresent Rolls

  • 3/4 lb self-raising flour
  • 1 tspn salt
  • 2 oz butter
  • 1/3 pint milk


  1. Pour the flour and salt into a mixing bowl and rub in the butter

  2. Add the milk to the mixture and make into a soft dough

  3. Spread some flour on the work surface and roll out the dough to a medium thickness

  4. Cut the dough into triangle shaped pieces

  5. Roll up each piece of dough from one side of the triangle. Moisten the point of the triangle to keep it in position

  6. Bend each of the triangles into a cresent shape, and place them in a greased baking tray

  7. Bake in the center of the oven for approximately 20 minutes

Recipe Notes

Once you have taken the rolls out of the oven, either eat while warm or let them cool. You can also decorate your rolls by sprinkling some icing sugar over the top, or drip some melted echolocate over the top. You can see this has been done in the image at the top of the recipe.
