Deviled eggs

Deviled eggs are always a Easter treat, they are easy to make and are always a hit at gatherings.

Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes
Servings 2 dozen portions


  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon minced shallot or onion
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper
  • Paprika


  1. Hard boil or steam the eggs for 10 minutes

  2. Shock the eggs with cold water and start peeling them.

  3. Cut the eggs in half and remove yolks gently and set the yolk aside

  4. Mash together the yolks with Tabasco, mayonnaise, onion, mustard and at a light dose of salt and pepper. Add more mayonnaise as necessary to get to an creamy consistency

  5. Then spoon the mixture into the empty egg white halves, and finish it off with sprinkling the top with paprika
