Donner Kebab

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Donair sauce

  • 12 ounce evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder


  1. In a bowl, thoroughly mix ingredients. Pack, punch, smash the meat into a log shaped roll, cover, and let rest in the fridge over night.

  2. Place on a baking sheet and cook in oven at 350f for 1 hr, flipping the loaf over halfway through cooking.

  3. After cooking, slice the loaf into 14 inch slices and brown the slices in a skillet or pan until both sides are brown and crisp.

Donner Kebab Saus

  1. In a bowl, stir (whisk is better) milk, sugar and garlic powder until the sugar is completely dissolved. Now this is important, while whisking, slowly pour vinegar into bowl. Stop whisking immediately after pouring the vinegar, cover, and place in fridge for about an hr until the sauce has thickened and cooled.
