- 1 lb hamburger
- Half an onion diced
- 1 head of garlic , processed and finely diced
- 1 cup wine
- 1 package lasagna noodles
- 1 large ball of mozzarella
- 1 large tub of ricotta Parmesan grated
- 1 egg
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- Parsley chopped
- Salt Pepper
- Italian seasoning
In a large sauce pan, brown the hamburger. Drain excess fat. Add onion, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add tomato sauce, stir. Stir in sugar to cut the acidity of the sauce. Add wine, stir. Bring to boil, then drop heat to low. Reduce, covered with a cracked lid for about an hour.
Cook according to package directions. Leave in a pot of cool water so they don't stick together
In a bowl, combine ricotta with 1 egg, salt, pepper, parsley, Parmesan, and cubed mozzarella. Stir until combined.
Cover the bottom of a large baking dish with sauce. Lay a layer of noodles down. Cover with half your cheese filling. Cover with sauce. Lay another layer of noodles. Cover with cheese filling. Cover with sauce. Lay another layer of noodles. Cover with remaining sauce. Slice or grate the other half of your mozzarella, and lay it down on top. Sprinkle remaining parmesan over the top.
Bake, covered with foil, 30 minutes @ 350° F. Remove foil and continue baking 30 minutes uncovered. Let rest 10 minutes before serving
