Plain Baked Doughnuts

  • 75 g plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 55 g caster sugar
  • 60 ml milk
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 25 g dark chocolate melts
  • 100 s and 1000s or shredded coconut to decorate


  1. Pre heat the over to Gas Mark 4 (350F 170C)

  2. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a medium sized mixing bowl, mix in the sugar.

  3. In a glass bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, oil and extract.

  4. Merge the contents of the two bowls and mix until smooth.

  5. Take a 12 hole mini doughnut pan and fill it with mixture.

  6. Place in the center of the oven for approximately 8-10 minutes or until cooked and golden.

  7. Allow the doughnuts to cool slightly and then turn out onto a cooling rack.
