Salty Bread Sticks
- 10 g Yeast
- 3 tbspn milk
- 1 tspn sugar
- 350 g Flour
- 150 g butter
- 1/2 tspn salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg yoke
- 50 g rough sea salt
Pre heat oven at 240c (gas mark 5)
Use a medium sized bowl, add in the yeast, milk, and sugar whisk it all together.
Set it down into a semi warm place for 20 minutes to let it rise.
Using a large bowl mix the flour, butter (in snippets) with a teaspoon of salt. Then add in the eggs and finish mixing it together.
Combine both mixtures and start kneeding softly for 5 mins. Then wrap it in a tea towel and let it rest for 15 min.
On a flat surface sprinkled with flour, roll the dough out to a 1cm thickness and cut it in 35cm strips.
Sprinkle the entire surface of the dough with the sea salt, might have to do this a couple times to have a decent amount stick.
Bake it in the oven for 10-12 minutes, after which you put it on a cooling roster.
